At the 2008 Queensland Spatial Conference, Cameron Shorter and Mark Leslie took part in a workshop, sponsored by AutoDesk, on the organisational advantages of Open Source.  Cameron presented the Open Source Business Case, while Mark gave an overview of available open source geospatial products.

Geospatial Systems Architect Cameron Shorter chaired the Open Standards thread at the WALIS Forum 2008, as well as presenting a workshop on Engaging the Open Geospatial Consortium.
